As part of our latest update, versions 6.191 and older of the eBay app are no longer supported by devices not using iOS 17… However, the conclusion remains the same - users with devices which do not support Android 10 or iOS 17 and above will need to upgrade their devices or use the web experience instead. Buyers and sellers are scrambling this morning after automatic updates have left both the iOS and Android versions of the eBay app non-functional and unable to be updated on older devices. eBay's community forums for the US and UK have been flooded with complaints, indicating this is an issue for anyone with older devices which do not support the most recent versions of their respective operating systems, leaving them incompatible with the latest eBay app update. But most of the posts in the US forum about the issue so far have been from users registered in the UK, so it's not exactly clear at this point if this is a UK only issue or impacted users in other locations as well. If it is UK only, could it be related to the launch of Buyer Fees in the UK today? Hi All, It was advised yesterday that the latest eBay app version is no longer compatible with android 9 and below. It actually requires OS android 10 and above. There is a ticket opened with tech as we have alot of users reporting the issue yesterday and today. If you can let me know your device… It was advised yesterday that the latest eBay app version is no longer compatible with android 9 and below. It actually requires OS android 10 and above. There is a ticket opened with tech as we have alot of users reporting the issue yesterday and today. If you can let me know your device type and current android version/ios version I can add this information to the ticket. And while I haven't seen any official comments from eBay staff about iPhones and iPads, user comments say they are receiving an error when trying to use the app indicating they need to update to iOS 17 - but again, their older devices are not able to do so, so the eBay app does not work. Can’t download iOS 17 on my old iPhone now I have been lock out on my account, I already post something to sell on eBay but now can’t get into my account? What can I do now ?? Please help!
